RoHS II guidance was published on June 28, 2011 and was implemented on January 3, 2013. The product groups added after application of the existing RoHS guidance to the products will be implemented step by step in the following schedule.

RoHS II differs from the existing RoHS II in the following points.

In other words, RoHS II has added the conformity assessment clause, and according to the procedure, the technical documents must be prepared, the declaration of conformity must be made, and the CE mark will must be attached.

By the end of 2012, SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) were continually added, and finally, 138 substances were listed in the current candidate list, including 54 substances added on December 19, 2012.

The European Commission planned to increase the number of candidate substances subject to approval more than 136 species by 2012 and thereby achieved the target at the end of 2012.

And also, in case that the finished product contains SVHC of more than 0.1 wt%, you shall provide the customer with a sufficient information on safety use of the finished product within 45 days of their request.

The information shall include the name of the substance at least.
It is recommended to provide the importer with a certificate showing the containment of SVHC in the product or not for stable export.

SCM (Supply Chain Management) of finished product

The core of management of the finished products is supply chain management. Substances under RoHS are increasing and SVHC are gradually increasing. In this situation, analysis is not the answer. That is, we have to manage and check the substances supplied to our suppliers. Otherwise, it is impossible to manage the finished product.
