Summary of safety investigation consulting
Any site that installs and operates hazardous chemicals handling facilities shall be inspected occasionally and periodically by an inspection agency designated by the Ministry of Environment under Article 24 of Chemical Control Act (standards for the arrangement, installation and management of handling facilities, etc.). In accordance with Article 23, subparagraph 2 of the enforcement rule from the Chemical Control Act, anyone subject to the business license of hazardous chemicals shall undergo periodic inspection once a year, and the others shall undergo periodic inspection every two years.
However, in accordance with the notice of the Ministry of Environment No. 2016-195, the hazardous chemicals handling facilities installed before 2015 shall be inspected by installation occasional periodical inspection before 31st Dec 2019 due to the receiving grace period from the previous Act (‘Toxic Chemicals Control Act).

Compared with the previous 29 inspection items from the previous Toxic Chemicals Control Act, the regulation is subdivided and specified in the current Chemical Control Act.
